New AMCU Opens with Private Rooms

On February 1, Christian Hospital and BJC HealthCare staff and leaders welcomed the community to our new acute multi-care unit (AMCU). The ribbon cutting and open house event, in partnership with the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce, drew more than 150 people.

This $5 million renovation project features 29 private patient rooms, state-of-the-art equipment, all new furniture with pull-out beds to accommodate visitors, and serene artwork throughout the halls. As part of our ongoing improvements, the new AMCU marks the latest step in refreshing the hospital to make our patients and guests more comfortable. Over time, each floor of the hospital tower will be converted to include all private patient rooms.

Staff began caring for patients in the new AMCU on February 5.
