Ribbon-Cutting Marks Emergency Department Expansion
Christian Hospital hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Sept. 18, 2014, to officially mark the completion of its $17.3 million Emergency Department renovation and expansion. The new 40,000-square-foot Emergency Department has 38 private exam rooms, including five major medical rooms. Imaging Services also underwent a major renovation as part of the project. The last major renovation was in 1993.
Christian Hospital’s Emergency Department is nationally ranked in the top 5 percent for clinical excellence, based on federally compiled data. Combined with its nearby Northwest HealthCare facility in Florissant, Missouri, Christian Hospital operates the busiest Emergency Department in Missouri, with more than 115,000 visits in 2013.
