Recovery Center Focuses on Connection Between Mental and Physical Health

Offering intensive outpatient treatment, the Recovery Center’s team of psychiatrists, counselors and nurses is dedicated to making a lasting impact in the lives of patients and their loved ones. Through personalized treatment plans, group therapy and educational classes, patients at the Recovery Center receive compassionate and confidential care from our mental health specialists.

Designed to help adults who are suffering from depression, anxiety, chronic mental illness and substance abuse, the Recovery Center takes an individualized and holistic approach. “Unlike other areas of medicine, this is the whole picture,” says Parimal Patel, MD, psychiatrist and medical director of the Recovery Center.

The Recovery Center has three foundational programs. These programs are more personal than those offered at other facilities, which means patients are often more comfortable and able to interact more in group therapy. The programs offered are designed as intensive outpatient group therapy and are covered by most major insurance plans, Medicare Part B and Managed Medicaid. Classes are facilitated by a licensed counselor or social worker.

Psychiatric Program

Focuses on helping adults suffering from depression, anxiety, stress, grief and major depressive disorders.

KEY Program

Designed for adults suffering from chronic mental illness or those that are in and out of the hospital due to some form of mental illness.

Chemical Dependency Program

Focuses on helping adults suffering from substance abuse, including alcohol, opiates, marijuana and other mind-altering substances.

For this type of care, patients want to turn to a familiar place that’s convenient and accessible. Christian Hospital’s Recovery Center plays an important role in improving mental health in our community.

Potential clients should set up an assessment appointment to determine if program participation is recommended and can begin the program the following day if needed. Free transportation for some areas is also available.

Evening Programs Available

To provide patients with greater convenience, Christian Hospital offers an evening intensive outpatient program for chemical dependency with the same support and content of the programs offered during the day.
