Addressing the Growing Opioid Abuse and Overdose Epidemic: A Call for Action in North County

Substance abuse is a growing public health concern in North County, especially now that we’re facing a local drug overdose epidemic. Over the past decade, the number of drug overdose deaths has rapidly grown.

  • Experience a simulated 911 overdose call.  Where first responders will demonstrate the lifesaving techniques used to treat these patients. 
  • Hear about the latest drugs that are impacting our community.
  • Learn about the collaboration amongst Christian Hospital’s EMS department, EPIC, the National Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse, and the MOHOPE project to help combat this issue in our community.

Who should attend: Community Leaders, School Officials, Elected Officials, First Responders, Clergy and Concerned Citizens.
