CH2020 Update: Renovations at Christian Hospital

Christian Hospital 2020 is the $60 million initiative introduced in 2017 that revolves around Revitalization, Community, People and Care. Some projects have been completed, some are underway, and all will be finished by 2020. Here’s an update on some of the renovation projects that are part of CH2020 Revitalization.

10th Floor Renovation

The 10th floor, $3 million renovation project and conversion to private patient rooms will begin in June. This is part of our continuing floor-by-floor transition to convert to all private patient rooms, which have already been completed on the third and ninth floors.

Lab Upgrade

The $2.7 million upgrade to the laboratory included replacing aging instruments at Christian Hospital and Northwest HealthCare and adding automation at Christian Hospital. This also included the standardization of equipment and laboratory information system to provide consistent lab results between BJC hospitals for ease of treatment and diagnosis by our medical staff.

Completion Date: March 2019

New Siteman Cancer Center Facility

The new Siteman Cancer Center at Christian Hospital’s Northwest HealthCare campus is scheduled to open in December. This new facility will provide the community with more exam rooms and an expanded treatment area so we can continue to provide convenient access to nationally recognized care. Siteman Cancer Center on the Christian Hospital campus will continue to serve patients until the new facility is open.
