Christian Hospital/Northwest HealthCare Laboratory Awarded Highest Honor with Accreditation

The College of American Pathologists (CAP) awarded the highest level of accreditation to the Christian Hospital and Northwest HealthCare laboratory based on the results of recent on-site inspections.

The CAP inspectors examined:

• Records and quality control for the preceding two years
• Education and qualifications of the total staff
• Adequacy of facilities, equipment and safety
• Department management

“This stringent inspection program is designed to specifically ensure the highest standard of care for the laboratory’s patients,” says Debra Rathert, lab director. “The CAP is an advocate for high-quality and cost-effective medical care.”
