New providers welcomed to Christian Hospital and Northwest HealthCare in 2017
Christian Hospital and Northwest HealthCare proudly welcomed several new medical providers in 2017. These physicians and nurse practitioners bring expertise, compassion and diverse experience to their patients, and they help to expand the care available to our community.

Dr. Farah is a BJC Medical Group interventional cardiologist at The Heart Care Group in Florissant, Mo. He offers a variety of cardiology services including management of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, valvular heart diseases and peripheral arterial diseases. He performs cardiac angiograms and stent placements.

Katherine is a BJC Medical Group family nurse practitioner at Northwest HealthCare. She provides general primary care services to adults and children aged 18 months and older, including annual physical exams, school and sports physicals and acute care. She also helps her patients manage conditions including high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes.

Samara is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who recently earned her doctorate in nursing practice. In 2017, she joined the team at Northwest HealthCare. Starting early next year, she will serve as the primary care provider at the new BJC Medical Group primary practice opening January 2, 2018. Samara helps patients manage a variety of chronic conditions and offers annual wellness visits and immunizations for adults and children.

Dr. Pratt is a BJC Medical Group vascular surgeon with BJCMG Specialists of North County. He treats a variety of conditions that focus on diseases of the blood vessels, including aneurysms, stroke prevention, limb salvage, dialysis access and vein and circulatory problems. He performs both minimally invasive and open vascular surgery procedures.

Dr. Sandberg is a BJC Medical Group electrophysiologist with the Arrhythmia Center. She offers a variety of services including cardiac ablation for simple and complex arrhythmias, such as supraventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. She also places pacemakers and defibrillators and provides cardiac resynchronization therapy.

Dr. Stoffa is a BJC Medical Group gastroenterologist with BJCMG Specialists of North County. He treats a variety of digestive disorders and gastrointestinal diseases including cirrhosis, reflux disease, peptic ulcer disease, inflammatory bowel disease and infectious liver disease. He performs colonoscopies, esophageal dilatation and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy.
