World-class pediatric care is now available in North County.
As Guardians of Childhood, St. Louis Children’s Hospital is committed to caring for kids throughout our community. The St. Louis Children’s Hospital at Northwest HealthCare emergency room (ER) is now staffed 24-7 by Washington University pediatricians whose entire focus is caring for children with a variety of illnesses and injuries.
Kids aren’t just small adults!
With age-specific developmental needs and weight-based treatments, it’s important to have experienced pediatric nurses and physicians who know children – inside and out – and kid-sized equipment. Kid-friendly amenities also help make your child’s experience a little bit less scary.
We care for pediatric emergencies including:
- Minor injuries
- Asthma and respiratory illnesses
- Abdominal pain
- Broken bones
- Cuts, scrapes and sprains
- Dehydration
- Earache
- Flu
- Vomiting
In cases where more specialized care is required, the staff will quickly arrange for transport to St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
Night or day, our team is ready to provide you with compassionate, specialized care for emergencies where you need us. Because we’re not just experts in our field, we’re Guardians of Childhood.
Christian Hospital and Northwest HealthCare, members of BJC HealthCare, provide world-class medical care to the communities of North County, Greater St. Louis County and Southern Illinois.
