Brian Hokamp
PHTLS Instructor
Brian Hokamp started his EMS career in St. Louis, where he obtained his EMT license. In 2002, Brian joined the United States Navy as a hospital corpsman and completed two tours of duty in Iraq. While stationed in Jacksonville, North Carolina, he attained his paramedic license. Brian joined Christian Hospital EMS as a paramedic in 2008, working his way up to Chief of EMS within seven years. Brian holds an associate’s degree in Applied Science (Paramedic Technology) and a bachelor's degree in Business Management.
Ian Breden, CCEMT-P
EMS Educator
Ian's EMS career started when he joined Christian Hospital EMS in 2001 as an EMT-B. After obtaining his paramedic license, Ian continued his education with leadership courses and teacher certifications. He has held several positions with CHEMS, serving as a field training officer, duty officer, captain and deputy chief. Ian is an NAEMT-certified lead instructor, and over the years, he has taught CPR, ACLS, AMLS, EPC, PEPL, TCCC, TECC, and he has developed training for CHEMS annual skills reviews, department orientation and paramedic refresher courses. Ian is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
